Events in the hunter society
On November 30 — December 1, 1989, the first meeting of the All-Union Council of Hunter and Angler Societies was held in Moscow at the Central House of Hunters and Fishermen. The governing bodies of the All-Union Council were elected, and the creation of the All-Union Council for Hunting Dog Breeding, the All-Union Expert Cynological Commission, and the All-Union Scientific and Technical Council were discussed. The participants of the meeting exchanged views on the position of the societies of hunters and fishermen in the nomination of people's deputies to the Soviet authorities.
In December 1989, at a meeting of the Council of the regional Society of Hunters and Fishermen in Chelyabinsk, candidates for deputies of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR and the regional Council were nominated by the society.
The 4th International Conference on the Future of the Environment "Survival and the Biosphere" will be held in Budapest in April this year. The organizer is the international organization Independent Forum for Global Survival.
In November 1989, a seminar on "Environmental protection in resort areas" was held at the VDNKH of the USSR. Organizers: The Central Council of the All-Union Society for Nature Conservation. Odessa State University, Moscow State University, the Central Council of the Ukrainian Society for Nature Conservation, the Pavilion of Nature Protection of the VDNH of the USSR.
In November 1989, an international seminar on "Environmental pollution, Perestroika and Politics" was held in Moscow, organized by the American monthly World Leiper, the Novosti Press Agency and the USSR State Committee for Nature.
Along with Soviet scientists and journalists, the seminar was attended by Western expert scientists who are recognized authorities in the study of various aspects of global environmental pollution, and foreign journalists representing various press agencies.
In March — April, the Second regional exhibition of hunting trophies and the regional exhibition of animalistic works will be held in the city of Kliningrad. The organizer is the regional society of hunters and fishermen.
In Moscow, at a meeting of the specialized council at the Institute of Geography of the USSR Academy of Sciences, A. J. Melluma defended his thesis "Specially protected natural objects in the old-developed territories of the forest zone (on the example of the Latvian SSR)".
In October 1989, Bulgaria hosted the twenty-sixth Socialist Country Dog Racing Competition. The first place was taken by the team of Czechoslovakia, the second by the GDR, and the third by Poland.
The Rosokhotrybolovsoyea delegation included dog handlers from Moscow, Leningrad, Barnaul, Izhevsk, Kirov, Rostov-on-Don, Saratov, and Sverdlovsk.
In September 1989, the continental cops were tested under the guidance of experts from the GDR according to international rules at the Nizhne-Kundryuchensk hunting farm in the Rostov region. Teams from Leningrad, Moscow, and Sverdlovsk participated in the competition.
